Bollywood's superstar Salman khan has been acquitted by Rajasthan High Court in blackbuck and chinkara poaching cases of 1998. the verdict was pronounced by Justice Nirmaljeet Kaur
Salman was charged for killing of the two blackbucks and case was registered under the ARMS ACT.
The Forest department charged that arms were used illegally as the license of the weapons were expired, which happened during the shooting of the movie HUM SAATH SAATH HAIN at Jodhpur.
The actor was earlier handed down a five-year sentence by a lower court.
The High Court pronounced that there were no evidence to prove that the animals were shot from Salman's gun and also the driver of the jeep was missing which weakened the prosecution case
Now it is upon the state government to decide whether to appeal in the Supreme Court of Justice
