After nearly more than two months of the Stand Off between Indian and Chinese soldiers at the Line of Actual Control, in a positive sign Chinese Troops have started stepping back at the Galwan Valley.
| Galwan Valley |
After more then two months of dispute over the LAC, today as first signs of disengagement between the troops of both sides, the troops have started moving back at PP14 area in the Galwan. As per the Government sources , Indian Express reports that this process has commenced after some activity was seen from the Chinese side yesterday where they have now dismantled the defences they had constructed and have cleared the area.Certain vehicles have also been coming to the location to take the troops towards their side"
We will have to wait till Monday evening or Tuesday Morning and see if this disengagement is Genuine and a lasting one. PP14 was the site where the Indian and Chinese Troops had a Face off that left Indian soldiers and unspecified number of Chinese soldiers dead.
As per the disengagement plan which was proposed , the rival troops were supposed to move 2.5- 3 Kms which will be followed by the de-induction of huge military build ups at the LAC.
As reported by different Newspapers the PLA has moved their troops upto 1 Km which is not confirmed as of now.
India and Indians need to take it cool until the Complete deescalation process is complete and not act relaxed for a second as China will be ready to bounce back any chance it gets.
